For a first week from Athens, the Saronic Gulf keeps transfers manageable and leaves time for swimming and shore visits. This is a planning framework, not a guaranteed sequence; the captain will adjust it for weather and harbor space.

Days 1–2: Athens to Aegina and Poros

Day 1: embark, complete the safety briefing, unpack and make a short move only if timing and conditions allow. Aegina offers an accessible first stop, but its working ports can be busy; an alternative anchorage may be preferable.

Day 2: continue to Poros. The channel and town create a strong arrival, with provisions and shore dining available. Keep clear of ferry traffic and follow the captain’s instructions for swimming and tender movement.

Days 3–4: Hydra and Ermioni or Dokos

Day 3: attempt Hydra only with an acceptable harbor plan. Space is limited and complex mooring is common. If conditions or congestion are unsuitable, visit by water taxi from a nearby base or substitute quiet Dokos.

Day 4: use Ermioni for a mainland harbor evening, or spend time at a suitable Dokos anchorage if the forecast supports it. This flexible day prevents the itinerary from depending on Hydra.

Days 5–6: Spetses and the return west

Day 5: visit Spetses for historic streets and an evening ashore. Yacht arrangements vary around the old harbor and Dapia area, so follow current local directions.

Day 6: start the return via Poros, Agistri or the Epidavros coast. Moving west now protects the final handover from a long exposed last-minute passage.

Day 7: swim, disembark and adapt

Use the final morning for a nearby swim only if the contract’s return time permits. Fuel, waste, inventory and disembarkation take time. Do not schedule an early flight around an optimistic arrival estimate.

If your priority is the Cyclades, use a different base and read the regional guide. For a shorter plan, see the five-day itinerary.

Charter terms, weather, yacht specifications and port operations can change. Confirm current details with the yacht’s central agent, your broker, the captain and relevant local authorities.
